The Requirements

To be a good fit for the Credit Buyer opportunity you should have:
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or other business-related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in customer service, retail consumer lending, collections, regional operations support or similar setting Quick question for you - click here

The Role

Reporting to the Midwest Regional Manager, you will join a team of about eight Credit Buyers who are part of the larger Credit & Funding group. The group supports Honda and Acura dealers throughout the Midwest, and you will work with dealers within an assigned territory. Quick question for you - click here

You will assume responsibility for approving or denying credit applications, following purchase policy guidelines. This will include underwriting business, evaluating credit and making sound decisions. Most of your work will be conducted over the phone and via email, and you'll spend the majority of your day at your computer.

You'll play a critical role in helping AHFC establish and maintain good relationships with our dealers and our customers. This role will put you in regular contact with key dealership personnel, such as Business Managers and others.

Major areas of responsibility will include:
  • Making credit decisions
  • Maintaining dealer relations and making timely call-backs
  • Assisting in management and development of the Discounting Department
